Myairshoes.com, Nike Air Harbor
website

The website, Nike Skateboarding, will release many new designs in November. Nike and Goodfoot have collaborated to produce the Zoom Air Harbor and a Zoom Team Edition. We have already posted on the Nike Zoom Team Edition. This is the Nike Zoom Air Harbor.

This Zoom Air Harbor is comprised of plaid and faux fur. The red and black plaid belongs to an evergreen, classical pattern. I like the fact that the Nike swoosh logo is incorporated into the overall color scheme and blends perfectly into the design of the shoe. This Nike swoosh is the same shade of black as the heel panel. This shade contrasts with the front upper of the shoe; which is in a deep, rich black color.

The plaid design is perfect for weekend wear or just lazing around the house in the country. It provides the cool touch of class while one is in pursuit of leisure.

Faux fur imitates real fur quite well. When it is used in the Nike shoe, it lends an air of fun and frivolity into the shoe. For indeed, the overall plaid and faux fur design wishes to convey this feeling. Due to the ever increasing presence and pressure from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), real fur from animals is decreasingly used in products. Nike shows their support for PETA and contributes to society as well.

Myairshoes.com, The All Star by Futura Laboratories
website

The Futura Laboratories version of the Converse All Star is called the Rats Lo. Sneaker enthusiasts with a sense of historical pride may not care too much for this design company’s approach to a classic shoe. While I am a fan of the classic All Star, I would encourage cynical sneaker fans to take a second look. The Rats Lo may seem simple but will stun you with its aesthetic complexity.

The black/white and unique white/black provides a simple backdrop for large text that will have people looking at your shoes all day long. The matching shoe box works as a conversation piece for friends interested in shoes and art. Look on the Futura Laboratories website for similar clothing and shoe offerings to put the Rats Lo in context.

This new Neon colorway of the Nike Air Trainer 1 is expected out soon. This unique shoe features a combination of different materials including patent leather and mesh.

But it’s the colors that make a statement. The strong neon yellow Swoosh, laces and other details are bold and bright against the black, making this sneaker a unique option.

Release dates aren’t out yet, but we’ll keep you posted. Check the rest of the pictures, courtesy of Footurama.

At the end, the guy buys a pair of Greedy Genius shoes. It’s pretty great to see a high profile commercial (it was shown during the Pats-Colts game) featuring the sneaker culture. The commerical was shot by Chris Robinson of Robot Film Company, who also directed ATL.

The crew built sets of all the stores with plenty of details. Check the pictures on the next page from the set.
